They are saying its not because of his remarks but due to the fact he has not been fulfilling his post-race media obligations. So he didn't show up Sunday after Phoenix race to a mandatory news conference, and they wait till today to fine him and place him on probabtion. Is it just me or does this seem a little smelly?

I don't think I can recall another instant in recent history where they have waited until the next weekend to fine a driver for something. They can say all they want that they didn't fine him for his remarks but we all know that's a bunch of crap. According to Jim Hunter, NASCAR's VP of Communications, he said they could have fined him but they didn't want to because they encourage the drivers to voice their opinion but according to them, Tony crossed the line. In my personal opinion, I think a lot of fans agree with what Tony said about them throwing bogus caution flags for debris. At least the ones I have talked to agree with this. Well, it is what it is. I admire him for putting himself out there as always.

One of the things I like about Tony is he does not hold back he tells it like it is and he lets the other drivers know (one way or another lol) to cut their garbage on track. Tony doesn't get mad he gets even!! Good luck to Tony on Sunday and of course Denny too

please dont be offended, but i think tony stewert is a crybaby and has embaresd the nascar nation and his team.
and he has got what he deserved.
