DONNY LIA, DAVID STARR, TODD - 2008/05/24 21:56 Wow, what a finish to the Ohio Craftsman today.

Who is Donny Lia? Man he really raced well and got the win from David who looked like he was going to walk away from Todd. Short track, lots of yellows but great for the bump, run and grind. Once again, just never know who got the win till the final turn in the Craftsman. There were, three wide Todd being on the flat part of the inside run. You never know, Todd might have come up with the win had Starr and Lia been just a little more agressive.

Re:DONNY LIA, DAVID STARR, TODD - 2008/05/25 07:09 He is a former Whelen modified champion moving up thru the ranks I think

Re:DONNY LIA, DAVID STARR, TODD - 2008/05/25 14:06 That was an amazing finish. Thats why I love watching the truck series. Great finishes all around. Congrats to Lia, but i think he may need to refine his bump and run method a little bit more. That was more like a 'get the f#@^ out of my way and run'

Re:DONNY LIA, DAVID STARR, TODD - 2008/05/26 06:40 He should get his turn at being out front in the last lap. Not necessarily the best place to be as David Starr found out. Starr just did not have that tiny bit extra to keep Donny Lia off him. And Lia had Todd on his butt probably pushin' Donny faster that he was plannin' to go. Great finish though.

Re:DONNY LIA, DAVID STARR, TODD - 2008/05/26 10:24 The truck series is awesome. The finish he had just signifies how good this series is. You get races like this almost every week. These truck series drivers need more recognition then what they get.

Re:DONNY LIA, DAVID STARR, TODD - 2008/05/26 22:44 I would honestly like to see the cup drivers put in the trucks. I have a feeling that a lot of the good racing comes from the lack of areo on the trucks. Even though they are trucks, the racing style more resembles the great racing of the early years of NASCAR.

Re:DONNY LIA, DAVID STARR, TODD - 2008/05/27 04:40 i saw the replay of ther race today on speed and that was an awesome finish , nothing like good ol agressive driving we need to see more of this in the cup series and yeah it would be cool to stick the cup guys in the trucks for a weekend just so they could slug it out on the track and stop worrying about tearing up the car, oh yeah by the way i should have put it on my other post but i didnt so here it is , very nice run by sam hornish i do believe he has made the adjustment to nascar better then any of the open wheel drivers this year , heck he could even be better then montoya when it comes time to go to indy and the road courses, so yeah sam's made my list of favorite drivers to root for , i hope he gets the rookie of the year

After listening to Montoya on the radio and also Sam, I believe that you will continue to see Sam do much better. Montoya's "premadonna" attitude seems to get in the way of building the team while the race is on. Sam on the other hand, is "all ears" and works well with a good team.

I would like to see that. It would give the truck series more PR and make the truck series better in my mind.
