WIXE Radio 790 AM, Monroe, NC, announces "Carolina ShorTrack Racing", hosted by Jerry Smith. The new show, for and about ShorTrack Racing from all around the Carolinas, debuts Tuesday, September 4th at 6:00 p.m. and every Tuesday thereafter.
Wixe "The Mighty 1190" Owner Archie Morgan decided that the Short Track Racing Roundup portion of Inside The Pit show has grown to the point of allowing Jerry to have his own show.
The new show will feature many popular Carolina ShorTrackers, both past and present, as well as some of the bright new stars of the future emerging from the local small town speedways that have always been the backbone of Stock Car Racing since the days of Junior Johnson and Richard Petty.
Host Jerry Smith is also know to Internet devotees as "CenterPoint", owner and operator of the popular new race talk site, The Racers Edge. Jerry's background ranges from a driver's point of view to that of a Late Model Stock Car Crew Chief... and now encompasses his experiences as an emerging Racing Talk Show host and correspondent.
