ya gotta hand it to kyle busch - 2008/04/28 05:58
ok i know i've bashed on kyle busch in the past and i've even compared his record in cup with jr but the facts this kid has got a lot of talent and he's proved he can drive his car to victory lane no matter which of the 3 series he is driving in so yeah this is my way of saying sorry for badmouthing the kid , he's got the talent , he runs hard and he doesnt let other drivers keep him in the back of the pack long , earlier when they were replaying some of kyles conversation with his crew about what denny did i cant blame him for getting mad, as far as teammates go tony is the better one denny still has quite a bit to learn, and yes further off subject i go but earlier when i was watching speed and seen the big wreck lepage brought out in the nationwide series and when franchitti got hit was a pair of very dumb mistakes, shame on lepage for trying to merge into the pack when his wife who is his spotter says honey they're gonna blow right by you , they were going 100 mph faster and the idiot just decides hey i'll just ignore my spotter and get in anyway nevermind the fact i will cause the big one, and the fella who hit franchitti's car that was totally outta line and yeah that was unforgiveable, anyways looking forward to seeing the responses back on this one and once again congrats to kyle on his win

Looks like moving out of the Hendrick camp was the best thing for the kid. Good job Kyle.

Kyle Busch is the real deal. I listen to as many drivers as possible. Kyle is the one driver who has a ton of fun with his crew during the race. He is not a foul mouthed abuser like too many of the drivers. Listening on the radio is good and bad. Finding out what a driver is really like when under pressure has been a little disappointing for me. But in the case of Kyle, listening to him and his crew talk back and forth is not only informative, but interesting. LIke tonight for instances. He was stopped on the back straight and said, "whoa, looks like Talledaga over there". When I compare him to say, his brother, there unfortunately is no comparison. Kurt is in some serious need of a full blown session of humilty....which I think is coming on strong.
Any way, this is my first post. I love the sport. I started learning the game after hockey went on strike for 1 - 1/2 seasons. Unfortunate for hockey, I am here to stay. I just took my wife, youngest son to Kansas for the ARCA, Truck, Indy Lite and Indy. We had a great time. Youngest has never been. We are currently travelling back to Canada post-race.

Poor Denny should have been the winner. He had the car and no one was going to get past him. I was watching the telemtry from Jr. car. He was equal and sometimes better than Kyle, but not Hamlin. Kyle got past Jr. in turn # 2. They both gave each other space. In turn #3, the two racing, did not give each other space, Jr. came down and Kyle did not dive down lower to allow space for his car to be loose. Great racing. It was exciting. As I respect and cheer for most of the drivers and teams I am able to look pragmatically at the class act Jr. and Kyle were last night. Unfortunately, when they are programmed to both go after it they will eventually get too close at the wrong place on the track.
There are a lot of solely Jr. fans who are rabid. Have your own special guy that you cheer for, but remember the sport is not about one driver, it is about entire teams which work very hard just to get into the game from week to week. I love NASCAR. It is for me the ultimate challenge of man against machine, environment and competition where one participant is not physically cross-checking the other head first into the boards. Great competition with the body on body violence removed.

It's just sad to watch somebody get taken out just because the other guy doesn't want to get beat by the person who's replaced him at his old team.

Ya for sure. What I would give to know about how these guys relate to each other. Jr. has a real big heart and is trying so hard for everyone, including himself. He is definately on the right team with Rick taking him under his wing. There is a lot more to their father-son relationship than we will ever know. What will we see, is a Jr. who continues to be a class act and very transparent to all.
Kyle on the other hand has lived his life in the shadows of big brother. I can see, from Kurt's treatment of his crew members, that Kyle would want to be the exact opposite of Kurt. To me, Kyle is doing that, he treats his crew great, patient, kind, fun and his knowledge of his car, the track and handling is easily passed onto his "chief". His spotter and his crew chief both speak and direct him very pointedly and his feelings are not hurt. He seems to thrive on doing "better than his best" for his team.
I see these to fellows as being two of the more class acts as time goes on and evetually working together. Each has great people around them developing and grooming them. Years from now, we will see that the trade has worked out for the betterment of NASCAR the game. The only negative and steep hill to climb is for Kyle and the "there is only one driver that should be winning" crowd. It must be tough having so many people hate you enough for doing the best that you can. I would not want to be up against Jr. in that situation. It must also be difficult for Jr. for these fans to react as they do when Jr. himself is such a humble, thankful and great human being. In the end, good will prevail and we will all enjoy this great competition of fantastic speed, ability and luck. Denny said it well, "for what ever reasons, God did not want us to win tonight". Interesting comment. If you stop to think about it you realize that there is a much larger picture than what we see thru the TV.

what a joke , i knew JR. was going to lose control and wreck , he almost lost it all night and i predicted that he would wreck and he did...he could barely keep control going at a lower speed let alone speed up and race for the win...and if JR. nation thinks Kyle has to back off just to make JR. Nation happy well that's not his style...he races for the win...Funny how i hear alot on tv.lately how they are comparing him to Earnheart Sr....lol should piss alot of people off...

Whenever a car gets you lose hotrod that is what usually happens. when you watch the video on it Kyle got into him plain and simple. I dont blame Jr for saying anything. That is just my opinion on it.

both drivers handled the situation well, was glad to see neither one of them seeking out each other for a fight , the only fight i thought was the most hilarious was when montoya and harvick were fighting , they kept their helmets on the whole time lol
