2nd - 2007/08/06 02:56 I have got to say that it is a great to see Jr get to finish a race so every one can see that he is still a contender...and busch fans dont get comfortable in that 12th spot we're coming back for it next week

Re:2nd - 2007/08/06 04:02 There's still plenty of races left for Jr. to make the "Chase". The way the team & driver performed today shows that they are going to be the 2007 Champions. Go Jr!

Re:2nd - 2007/08/07 03:41 Jr will make the chase simply becouse he has top 5 cars every week and kurt bush doesn't. Kurt only runs good on certian tracks.

You mean shouldnt right? It was great to see Jr. do well. Even though he didnt have as strong of a car that Busch had but Jr. fought with his car all day long. I listened to him on raceview on nascar.com and he was very frustrated with his car. Now what was the problem with Johnson being mad a Jr?

I was looking at it as he shouldnt be comfortable. Because Jr has had some very strong cars and Kyle has had one good car in the last couple of races. Jr will be fine and I think he will win at the glenn on sun.

Re:2nd - 2007/08/07 07:11 Ive just got a good feeling about sun. and that Jr can pull it off. He has had very good weeks and I just believe that Jr can do it.

Re:2nd - 2007/08/07 07:30 Jr won't win at a road course, he will finish well but won't win. Busch will beat out JR this week simply because he is some what of a road course ace in NEXTEL Cup regulars

Re:2nd - 2007/08/07 09:35 Jr just isn't as consistant as Busch on road courses. Thats all I'm trying to say. I honestly would pick the #2 over the #8 in my fantasy league.

Re:2nd - 2007/08/07 09:44 I see your point Gdawg but Im still going to think that Jr can pull it off. He needs to do well from this race on forward and he knows that he cant have a bad week. Yes Busch is good at road courses but Jr can do well at the Glenn.

Re:2nd - 2007/08/07 11:49 I never said Jr couldn't do well, I'm just saying Busch can do better. Over the past couple years the 2 car has been just a little better on road courses than the 8 car. Anyways, Gordon and Stewart own Watkins Glen. In the past 10 races Stewart and Gordon have a combined 7 wins there.

Re:2nd - 2007/08/07 12:12 I know you didnt say he couldnt do well. I think he can. But its like I said before. We have a nad full of races left until the Chase starts and Jr has to do well otherwise he will be on the outside looking in. Do I see Jr doing well at the Glenn yes. But he has to get through Smoke and Gordo first if he wants to win at the Glenn.

Re:2nd - 2007/08/07 12:21 Don't forget getting through, the 48, 29, 42, 2, 7(if he's allowed to race..lol) and the 31. If I forgot any other drive I apologize.

Re:2nd - 2007/08/08 04:20 Jr has what it takes to win the glen, just like he ran in the top 3 all day in sonoma. The only prob is the fuel thing. Road corses always come down to fuel stratages. Montoya did not have a winning car but he played his cards right and stayed out when he was toled he was 3 laps short and look what happened. Jr can't do that becouse 13th is better than 30th. Some people have nothing to lose. Jr has just as good of a car as tone or gordon and just as much talent, it just come down to stradagies. Its a chess match on an 11 turn race track plain and simple.

Re:2nd - 2007/08/08 07:31 YOu are right Chris, JR is talented but obviously Montoya had a car capble of winning. Maybe not the best car but isn't almost any car capable of a win? You said it as clear as day, road course racing is about stratagy, but also it's about who can find the quickest way around the track. Jr has the talent to find his way around the track, but it seems the DEI/RCR engine program isn't up to par on their fuel saving issues.

Re:2nd - 2007/08/08 07:40 You guys are correct. But I wouldnt just put the blam on the engine package alone. It can also come down to the pit crews and the strategy too. So I dont think the engine package they have is the lone problem. There could be a handle full of them.

I'm so proud...lol j/k...You are exactly right though, it could be a hand full of problems and I am not gonna say driver talent is one of them because it's clearly not.

Re:2nd - 2007/08/08 09:19 Wow man. I try to make a valid point and you are trying to screw t up. sorry Im not a god of NASCAR like you are. it would be nice every once and awhile to agree with me instead of making me look like I know nothing in NASCAR.

Re:2nd - 2007/08/08 09:31 I don't mean to make you feel like you know nothing about NASCAR. I just know that you are more knowledgable in other sports than I am but NASCAR isn't one of them.

Re:2nd - 2007/08/08 09:46 True. But that doesnt mean that my knowledge of NASAR isnt any diffeent tan anybody elses. Just because I happen to know more about a sport doesnt mean that I dont know nothing about NASCAR. It wouldnt hurt to back me up once and awhile.
